Principal's Corner

Dr. Kelley Weiss

 Dr Kelley Weiss

Hello, my name is Kelley Weiss, and I am excited and proud to serve as the principal of Dupont Elementary School! Do not be surprised to see me engaging with your students on a daily basis.  I am a hands-on principal who likes to experience the learning process with your students.  Any given day you can find me participating in related arts, working on skills in the classroom, or reading with students during the independent reading time.

I started my journey as a teacher in 2002 as a seventh grade science teacher in Milo, Maine and earned my Masters in Science Education. In 2005, I began working at Old Town H.S. teaching biology, chemistry, forensic sciences, and physics.  During that time I pursued my Certificate in Advance Studies for Educational Leadership.

I was selected to serve as an administrator for the Millinocket School department in 2010 and then as the principal of Enfield Station School in 2012.  I received my doctorate in 2016 from Liberty University.

In 2017, I worked as Assistant Superintendent overseeing curriculum and instruction along with Title programs.

In 2018, I moved to Chattanooga with my family and started working at Alpine Crest.  While I have been working in the district I have had the privilege to be the director of HCS at Home and Summer Reach.

I am looking  forward to getting to know the DuPont Community and working with all your students. I know we will have a great year of learning together.
