Tarah Kemp

I am a fourth grade teacher at DuPont Elementary School, focusing on science and social studies education. Since graduating UTC in 2011, I have experienced the first hand growth of the school and the incredible things that are happening within its walls. I am a PEF Fund for Teachers Fellow, a PEF Leadership Cohort 19 fellow, a member of the Tennessee STEM Innovation Hub’s STEM Fellow Cohort 7, a two-time PEF Teacherprenuer, and Innovative Educator Fellow. I have personally spearheaded an integrated culinary program called Cooking Up Learning that helps bring local culinary leaders into the school to provide hands-on experiences for K-5 students in Dupont’s very own culinary lab!  But more importantly, family is everything to me and I love being an aunt to my niece, Everley, and a “pet-mom” to my many* pets at home! Since moving here in 2006 from FL, I have fallen in love with the city and all that it encompasses; I’m not leaving any time soon!
