Student Pick-up and Drop-off Information
Arrival and Dismissal Expectations
Unfortunately, DuPont does not have a cross walk for families to walk into the building. We need all families to use the car rider loop in the morning to maintain the safety of all students, families, and DuPont staff. Thank you for following this expectation.
For morning car rider arrival, please make sure you pull all the way up to the first cone to ensure all the students can get out quickly.
Also make sure your child is ready to get out when it is safe to open the door. We support students getting out on the passenger side of the vehicle. If your child is on the driver’s side, please direct them to walk in front of the car to the sidewalk.
Stay aware of the two lanes for turning out of the property and the School Patrol Officer. She directs when cars can come out onto Hixson Pike. Do not pass the stop sign because you will block the school buses and cars dropping off students who attend other schools.
Students are late at 8:15 AM. Parents are required to come in and sign your child in at the front office – Door #1.
All car rider parents are required to have their car tag visible to expediate our dismissal process. If you do not have it, you will be asked to go to the Main Office for a tag and to pick up your child. This is a safety precaution we will follow each day.
All student must be picked up promptly by 3:30 PM. Signing up for SACC is a great precaution for you if you are every late. Students get to enjoy a snack and play with friends until you get here. Parents are only charged if your child attends. Register Now!
Kindergarten Bus Riders – An adult is required for all Kindergarten students to be released by the bus rider even if they have an older sibling on the bus. If you want your family with a Kindergartner to be released without you being present, please sign the attached form and turn it into the bus driver. If not, please make sure an adult is at the stop ready to meet the student. If you are not there, it is your responsibility to retrieve your child from DuPont.
