I have the privilege of being the Special Education Teacher at DuPont Elementary. I started my education at Brigham Young University, after raising my family, I then finished my bachelors of art degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Special Education K-12. I worked as a para pro five years in the CALM program. The CALM program gives support to autistic students in the regular education classroom. The last four years I have been at DuPont teaching – reading, social skills, and gifted students. I am highly qualified for students with severe disabilities all the way to students who are gifted. The above picture is with a couple of my grandchildren. I love the students at DuPont and feel it is such a privilege to teach at a school like DuPont! I believe that each child is of significant value!
