Hello My Name Is...

Leslie Shoemake

I grew up in West Alabama where I earned my Bachelors and Masters degree at the University of West Alabama.  After teaching for 29 years in Alabama I taught ESOL in Turkey for two years.  I am now THRILLED to be teaching in the beautiful mountains of Chattanooga!

I enjoy being outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family.  I have one daughter  who lives in South Alabama with her husband  and dog Ollie.

Teaching ESOL is a joy for me.  My students bring a smile to my heart daily.   I believe that every child is a unique individual who possesses special talents.  It is an honor to watch their talents and skills grow.
